JAMMU, May 15: J&K Speedball team brought laurels to the State by winning maximum medals in the 5th National Speedball Championship, which concluded in Delhi today.
The gold medal winners included Manthan Pandoh, Pranay Gupta, Ritik Sharma, Gurmanjeet Singh, Ankit Sharma, Sahil Janjua, Manika Sharma, while the silver medal went to Suryamsh, Sugandh Mehat, Sakshi Vaid, Varun Preet Singh and Harvinder Kour. Rahul Mennia, Aryan Kangotra, Ritik Ratra, Sakshi Thappa, Samarjeet Singh, Aryan Mehra, Tarun Singh and Manika Sharma bagged bronze medals.
On their arrival, the players were received by Vijay Gupta, chief patron J&K Speedball Association, Anil Nanda, president J&K Speedball Association, while Sunny Nanda was accompanying the team as coach.
