JAMMU, May 14: KC Public School held its Investiture Ceremony for Junior Wing in the School premises, here today.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the School Director, Dr Ram Thakur and Headmistress, Sofia Rana, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The badges were presented to the newly elected members of Student Council by the Headmistress, which was followed by the oath taking ceremony.
Students presented a colourful cultural programme, which included a splendidly choreographed dance item carrying a message of not to give up in face of difficulties.
The School Choir presented a beautiful song ‘Light the Candles’ spreading the message of new hopes and aspirations.
The Head girl Anargaya Chib and Head boy Tanmay Gupta pledged to take the School to pinnacles of new heights.
Speaking on the occasion, School Director urged upon the members of the School Council to uphold the values of honesty, integrity and loyalty as vital qualities for positions of dignity.
The programme ended with a National Anthem.
The Student Council included Tanmay Gupta, Anargaya Chib, Anvit Mengi, Vaishali, Karan Jain, Shivya, Akshat Bhagotra, Jhanvi Manhas, Shreyas Sinha, Aeshna, Maulik Jain, Shine Mahajan, Nitya Saraf, Reeya, Anant Rohmetra, Sehar Bhat, Sanjali, Suyesha, Aryansh and Hanumat.
The Jammu House included Aadhya as Captain, Deeksha, Sambhav and Pranav Koul as Prefects, while Utkarsh and Nityam were elected as Vice Prefects.
The Poonch House comprised of Anirudh as Captain, Rudra Bhagat, Vaibhav Khajuria and Dhananjay as Prefects, while Parth, Arshita and Jhalak Gupta as Vice Prefects.
The Kashmir House has Jayant Bhat as Captain, Arjuna, Diya Bhat, Surya Pratap and Ananaya Mahajan as Prefects and Palak, Artika Gupta and Varun as Vice Prefects.
The Ladakh House included Rudra Gupta as Captain, Aditya Roshan, Shrishti Bhan and Prerita as Prefects, while Syed Ali, Ayush and Sushane Dullu were named Vice Prefects.
