DODA, May 13: Royal Challengers Doda (RCD) trounced Trown Cricket Club (TCC) by 4 wickets and advanced to the next round of the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship, being organised by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda at Sports Stadium, here today.
Winning the toss, TCC elected to bat first and scored a total of 130 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Firdous was the highest scorer who scored a brilliant knock of 31 runs while Jaffer Hussain contributed 25 runs.
For RCD side, Shabaz was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Azhar took 2 wickets.
In reply, RCD chased the target in 20 overs. Wasif contributed 39 runs while Izhar 27 Run respectively.
For TCC, Tousheed was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 3 wickets, while Mudassir scalped two wickets.
Izhar of Royal Chalengers Doda (RCD) was awarded as man of the match for his all rounder performance. A trophy and cash prize was given to him by Manager Bajaj allianz Doda Mohd Saleem Ganai.
The match was officiated by Amit Bansal and Mohd Rafi as umpires while Yasir Dar maintained the scoreboard.
