POONCH, Dec 20: Baba Banda Singh Bahadur (BBSB) Club lifted title trophy by defeating Sham Lal Hockey Academy (SLHA) Club with 2-1 goals in the ongoing J&K Sports Council Premier League in disciplines of Kabaddi, Football and Hockey, being played at Sports Stadium, here today.
Experienced Gurdev Singh scored first goal while Matinder Pal Singh netted second goal for BBSB Club and for SLHA, Navjot Singh scored one goal. In another Hockey match, Power House Hockey Club outplayed Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Club by 3-1 goals.
In Kabaddi, Brother Club outplayed Bedar Club Mandi by eight points while Friends Club Mendhar defeated Star Club by one point and Knight Rider got better of Star Club with huge margin of 30 points.
In Football, City Club trounced Purani Poonch by 3-0 goals while 2nd match between Chandak Club and Jhulass Club finished with draw.
Pardeep Sharma, Ex MLC Poonch was the chief guest while Krishan Lal Sharma, Retd Divisional Sports Officer of JK Sports Council was guest of honour.
Rajinder Singh PEM, Tarlochan Singh PET and Mohinder Bali were among technical panel for Football, whereas Sunil Raina PET and Vikas Sharma PET among technical panel for Hockey and Nazarat Hussain PET, Shabir Malik REK and Ajaz Ahmed REK were among the technical panel for Kabaddi matches.
Pawan Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Sourav Sharma PEM, Rajinder Singh PET, Harmik Singh PET, and Ram Parkash Ground In-charge were also present during the tournament while vote of thanks was presented by Nirdosh Kumar In-charge Manager Sports Stadium Poonch.
