JAMMU, May 6: Scripting convincing wins over their rivals in the semifinal clashes, Oriental Cricket Club and Tornado Cricket Club qualified for the finals of the KPS T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Amphalla at Jagti, near here.
Now, the two teams will face each other in the title clash at the same venue tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Oriental Club defeated Delhi Wanderers in an easy contest by 9 wickets. Batting first, Delhi Wanderers scored a modest total of 124 runs in 20 overs, while in reply Oriental Club chased the required runs easily in 10 overs, losing just one wicket in the process, and thus won the match by 9 wickets.
In another semifinal match, Tornado Club drubbed Kongposh Cricket Club by 42 runs to seal berth in the finals.
Batting first, Tornado set a target of 145 runs for the rivals by losing 5 wickets, while in reply, Kongposh Club managed to score only 103 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs, thus lost the match by 42 runs.
The final match will be held at 2 pm tomorrow, which will be followed by the valedictory function at 5 pm, wherein former Director General of Police Ashok Bhan will be chief guest.
