KC Strikers to take on Milchar Club in KPPL final

JAMMU, Nov 29: Two strong teams of the tournament namely KC Young Strikers and Milchar Cricket Club defeated their rivals in the semifinals and sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL), being organised by Iqwaat Sports Organisation, an initiative of Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj at MA Stadium, here.
In the first semi-final played, KC Young Strikers defeated Sai Cricket Club in a one-sided affair by a huge margin of 115 runs.
Batting first, KC Young Strikers scored a big total of 160 runs. Rohan Koul top scored with magnificent 74 runs, while Vishal Kanth contributed 55 runs. For Sai Club, Rahul Bhat, Surinder Bhat and Amit Dhar took one wicket each.
In reply, Sai Club collapsed at 45 runs. Ashu Bhat was the batsman from Sai Club who crossed double figure mark, scoring 15 runs. For KC Strikers, Sanchit Dass, Vicky, Vishal Kanth and Ayush took two wickets each.
In another match, Milchar Club thrashed RCC Bulls by 41 runs. Batting first, Milchar Club scored a good total of 149 runs. Aman Zutshi, Anshul and Mukul contributed 32, 31 and 27 runs to the total respectively. For RCC Bulls, Shubham Kher bagged three wickets, while skipper Rakesh Koul claimed two wickets. Ravi Pandita and Rohit Pandita clinched one wicket each.
In reply, RCC Bulls bundled out for 108 runs. Vimarsh Kaw top scored with 35 runs, while Susheetal Dhar, Rakesh Koul and Puneet Wattal contributed 16, 14 and 13 runs to the total respectively.
The matches were officiated by BK Tickoo, Vijay Raina and Sanjay Raina, while the tournament is being organised by Rajesh Dhar, Ankur Bagati and Ashish Kachroo.
