SCC, HCC register wins in Eid-Diwali Milan C’Ship

JAMMU, Nov 18: Samar Cricket Club (SCC) and Horizon Cricket Club (HCC) registered wins against their opponents in the league matches and entered in semis of the ongoing 8th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Championship, being organized by members of ICA in association with KC Sports Club at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
The first match of tournament, the SCC defeated Samba XI by 32 runs.
Batting first, the SCC scored 142 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 18 overs. Dhruv Mahajan made 53 runs while Satish and Amritpal Singh contributed 28 and18 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Romit and Raman took three wickets each whereas Raghu bagged two wickets and Arjun took one wicket.
In reply, Samba XI failed to chase the target and bundled out at 110 runs in 19.3 overs by losing only two wickets. Karan scored 29 runs while Kanan made 22 runs. From the bowling side, Dhruv Parmar took three wickets, Dhruv Mahajan and Sameer clinched two wickets each while Akshay and Satish took one wicket each. Dhruv Mahajan was declared as man of the match for his excellent performance with bat and ball.
In second match, the Horizon Cricket Club trounced Mayank Cricket Academy by 45 runs.
Batting first, the HCC made 172 runs by losing all wickets. Vivant made 60 runs, Jatin scored 35 and Shubam made 22 runs. From the bowling side, Ram, Imran and Ankush Gill took two wickets each.
In reply, the Mayank Cricket Academy bundled out at 127 runs in 18.4 overs. Suryainsh and Ram Dayal contributed 67 & 30 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Paras, Sukha, Varun and Shubam took two wickets each while Sant Baksh bagged one wicket. Vivant was adjudged as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, JD Singh, Vijay Dhar, Sabastian and Sanju.
