JAMMU, Feb 9: The 9th District Jammu Handball Championship concluded today at Playfield Shastri Nagar, Jammu. The event was organized by the Player Association Handball Jammu in collaboration with the J&K Handball Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
Vikram Randhawa, MLA of Bahu Constituency, was the chief guest at the occasion. He interacted with the teams, motivating them to play with dedication and sportsmanship. Randhawa also distributed prizes to the winning and runner-up teams. Neetu Randhawa was the guest of honour, and other dignitaries present included Ashwani Kumar Raina, president of the J&K Handball Association, Rajesh Kapoor, vice president, and other members of the association.
In the Junior Girls final, Sampark Handball Club triumphed over Jammu Club with a narrow 8-6 victory. The Junior Boys final saw Sandeep Pal Club defeat Vitasta Club by a score of 16-14. Jammu Club emerged victorious in the Senior Women’s category, beating Vitasta Club by 12-11, while in the Senior Men’s section, Sandeep Pal Club defeated Jammu Club by 16-14.
The event witnessed strong performances from all teams, with matches officiated by Anuj Langer, Utkarsh Raina, Sahil Padha, Parteek Bajaj, Harmandeep Kour, and Saina Loach
