POONCH, Jan18: The 9th District Handball Championship organized by the District Handball Association Poonch, in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, concluded at the Sports Stadium, here today. The event featured six teams and was held on a league-cum-knockout basis.
In the final, Ajote Handball Club defeated Poonch Handball Club by 24-20. The Championship was graced by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Qadeer Ul Rehman, as the chief guest, with DYSSO Poonch Mool Raj Uttam as the guest of honour and Mushtaq Ahmed, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, as the special guest.
The match was officiated by Imtiaz Ahmed Lone, Ghulam Abbas, and Sachin Sharma. The event was supported by dignitaries such as Kirtipal Sharma (President, District Poonch Handball Association) and various sports coaches. The event highlighted outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship.
