800-km Motorbike Rally flagged off to promote Drug free Border

KATHUA, Mar 1: The Shakti Udghosh Foundation has flagged off its much-anticipated 800-km Motorbike Expedition from Kathua to Poonch, covering 800 kilometers across Jammu & Kashmir. The four day journey, running from March 1 to 4, is aimed at redefining safe boundaries and promoting a drug-free society by raising awareness about substance abuse.
The flag-off ceremony took place at Government Degree College Kathua and drew enthusiastic participation from bikers and supporters. The event was led by Preeti Chaudhary, convener of the programme, who, alongside her team of female bike riders, embodied the spirit of the initiative. Rakesh Minhas, DC Kathua, expressed his admiration for the foundation’s work, stating, “Shakti Udghosh Foundation is doing a fantastic job empowering women and focusing on eradicating drug abuse among the youth.”
The expedition saw the participation of 25 female and 10 male riders from across India, including Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan, all united to spread the message of a drug-free India.
The event was also graced by the presence of Professor Anil Saumitra, Chairman of PRSI Jammu Chapter, Ravinder Choudhary, Secretary and Divya Sharma, Coordinator, who lent their support to the initiative. The Shakti Udghosh Foundation, working tirelessly for women’s empowerment, continues to inspire and mobilize youth towards positive lifestyle choices.
