BANDIPORA, Oct 19: The 7th UT Rowing & Sculling Indoor Championship, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Rowing and Sculling Association, concluded with great success at Government High School, Bagh, here today. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 150 athletes representing various districts across J&K.
The championship featured boys and girls competing in multiple age categories, showcasing strength, endurance and sporting spirit. The closing ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Bilquis Mir, Tanvir Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed (Sports Advisory Board, Bandipora) and Mohammad Muzaffar (Baramulla Association). In her address, Bilquis Mir praised the growing popularity of rowing and the efforts to develop Bandipora as a hub for water sports.
Officials emphasized the need to support young talent and continue building a strong sports culture in the region. The Association thanked the Sports Advisory Board, local authorities, coaches and volunteers for their support.
