SRINAGAR, July 27: The Swim N Survival Society-Kashmir (SNSS-K) concluded the 7th Underwater Sports championship at the scenic Water Sports Centre, Nigeen, with over 150 swimmers aged 6 to 58 participating in the event.
Twelve competitions were held-eight for boys and senior men and four for girls-emphasizing the Society’s inclusive efforts to promote underwater sports and water safety across all demographics. The championship offered a platform for athletes to display their stamina, technique and enthusiasm.
The valedictory function was attended by chief guest Azad Ahmad Bhat and Imran Yousuf Wani, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at RAK Therm. Both praised the participants and applauded the organizing team and coaches for their dedication.
Also present were JKMAC Secretary Sayed Tahir, SNSS-K President Haji Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Vice President Dr. Sheikh Tariq, Secretary Yasir Yousuf Makhdoomi, and renowned coach Riyaz Wani, along with the SNSS-K expert team: Mohammad Faaliq Najar, Mudasir Jeelani Chasti, Owais Rashid and Mohsin Fayaz. The event adds to SNSS-K’s impactful initiatives such as the 100 Days Swimming Camp and water safety drives.
