JAMMU, June 21: The 54th Regional Sports Meet of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region, concluded at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota, here today. The two-day meet witnessed active participation of 65 girls from 10 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the region, competing in Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 Yoga categories.
On the concluding day, chief guest Dr. Ram Kishan Dahiya, Principal of KV Nagrota, declared the meet closed and congratulated all participants for their commendable spirit, discipline and sportsmanship. He emphasized the importance of such events in promoting physical fitness, moral values, leadership, and stress management among students.
In the Under-19 category, KV Chenani (Rhythmic), KV No. 1 Udhampur (Traditional) and KV Jyotipuram (Artistic) bagged Gold Medals. Under-17 winners included KV No.1 Udhampur (Artistic), KV Nagrota (Rhythmic) and KV Samba (Traditional). In the Under-14 category, KV No.2 Jammu Cantt (Artistic), KV No.1 Udhampur (Rhythmic) and KV Nagrota (Traditional) clinched top honours.
The entire tournament was conducted under the supervision of Amreik Singh, TGT (P&HE), with support from the school staff. The event concluded on a high note, inspiring young athletes to pursue excellence in yoga and sports.
