JAMMU, June 23: The 54th KVS Regional Sports Meet of Jammu Region concluded at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota and PM SHRI KV Sunjuwan, after two days of spirited competition in Yoga, Handball, and Football.
At KV Nagrota, students competed in Yoga (Boys U-14, U-17, U-19) and Handball (Boys U-17). In U-19 Yoga, KV Miran Sahib (Rhythmic), KV No. 1 Udhampur (Traditional) and KV Jyotipuram (Artistic) clinched gold medals. In U-17 Yoga, KV Jyotipuram (Artistic) and KV Nagrota (both Rhythmic and Traditional) bagged golds. In U-14 Yoga, KV No. 1 Udhampur excelled in Artistic and Traditional categories, while KV Nagrota won Rhythmic gold.
In Handball U-17, KV Nagrota secured 1st place, followed by KV No. 2 Jammu Cantt. and KV No. 1 Udhampur in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The meet was formally closed by Principal Dr. R. K. Dahiya, who congratulated participants for their discipline, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
Simultaneously at KV Sunjuwan, thrilling football matches were held. In U-14, Leh defeated Srinagar No 1 by (3-0) in the final. In U-17, Srinagar No 2 emerged victorious, winning both league and final matches against Bandipora by (1-0).
Judo competitions also drew attention for their display of strength and skill. The meet, held under the supervision of Amreik Singh (TGT P&HE), concluded with joy, unity, and a promise of future excellence.
