44 students left for Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking programme

JAMMU, June 11: The 2nd group of Tawi Trekkers J&K comprising 44 students including 29 girls of St. Xavier Convent Sr Sec School, Barnai here today left Jammu to participate in Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by Tawi Trekkers J&K under the chairmanship of Anil Goswami, former Union Home Secretary.
The group is being led by president of Tawi Trekkers, Shawetica Khajuria and Prerna Charak, a senior trekker and it also includes three teachers of the School—Aditya Padha, Anchal Charak and Tanvi Talgotra.
Earlier, the group was flagged off by Mridhu Padha, Vice Principal of the School in the presence of staff of the School and a large number of parents of the students.
The 4 days trekking programme will provide an opportunity to the young students to explore nature and challenge themselves thereby building in them confidence, resilience and team work skills.
The next group shall leave on June 13, 2025.
