4 wkts haul by JP helps SCC to crush UCC

JAMMU, July 11: Four wickets haul by JP helped Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) to crush United Cricket Club (UCC) by 5 wickets and to register berth in the next round of the ongoing Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Premier Leagues, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, UCC made 112 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Kanav was the top scorer with 22 runs, while Bodh Raj and Prince chipped in 19 and 16 runs respectively.
From SCC side, JP was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Sahil took 2 wickets, Baba and Rahul clinched one wicket each.
In reply, SCC chased the target in 16.2 overs by losing 5 wickets. Amit made 34 runs, while Gourav and Manik made 26 and 15 runs respectively.
From UCC side, Shantanu and Prince took 2 wickets each, while Shahrukh scalped one wicket.
JP of SCC was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Madan Lal and Vinod Kandyara as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda acted as scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, KC Sports Club will take on NMCC and Bhole Nath Cricket Club will clash with Khalsa Cricket Club.
