JAMMU, Oct 31: Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association is organizing 39th J&K State Badminton Championship from November 3 to 7 at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium.
Competition will be held in Men Singles, Men Doubles, Women Singles, Women Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Junior under-19 Boys Singles and Doubles, Junior under-19 Girls Singles and Doubles, Junior under-17 Boys Singles and Doubles, Junior under-17 Girls Singles and Doubles, Sub Junior Boys Singles and Doubles, Sub Junior Girls Singles and Doubles, Mini Boys Singles and Doubles, Mini Girls Singles and Doubles and Midget under-10 Boys and Girls Singles.
The association is starting the practice of qualifying rounds, which will be played on November 3, morning, and those who qualify for the main draw will be taken in the main draw of the championship. As such, the main draw matches will commence on November 4.
During the competition, the State team for Junior and Sub Junior Nationals, being held at Imphal and Patna respectively, will also be selected mainly on the basis of performance of the players in this championship.
