DODA, July 28: The Grand Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Chenab Open J&K UT Taekwondo Championship 2025 was held at the Indoor Sports Hall, Doda, with enthusiastic participation from around 400 players representing all districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Anil Kumar (Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda) was the chief guest and encouraged athletes to uphold discipline and sportsmanship. Tariq Qazi (District Social Welfare Officer) served as guest of honour, while Rizwan Wani (Regional Manager, Iqra International School) and Dr. Farooq Runyal (Eye Specialist) attended as special guests.
Organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Doda under JK Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council, the event is supported by the GameOn Foundation. Junaid Ali Khan and Burhan Ud Din Khan are leading the event, with referees headed by Vinod Grewal ensuring fair play.
