JAMMU, Sept 15: The 2nd B.B. Choudhary Memorial Badminton Tournament concluded today at the Police Line Badminton Hall, organized by Choudhary family, particularly Indu Bhushan, in collaboration with the Kings Badminton Club.
The tournament honoured the legacy of B.B. Choudhary, a dedicated sportsman closely associated with J&K Police and the hall for over a decade. Vinod Kumar, DIG IRP Jammu Zone, was the chief guest, while Gulzar Singh Slathia, former IGP, presided over the ceremony.
Vinod Kumar lauded the organizing team and emphasized the role of sports in promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. He also distributed prizes to the winners. Over 200 players participated in the tournament, which drew an enthusiastic audience, including Dr. O.D Sharma, Vice President of the Badminton Association of India and other senior players. Matches were conducted smoothly under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, Anil Gurkha, Rohan Slathia, and Yasir Choudhry.
