JAMMU, Dec 15: The 29th Inter-District Snooker and Billiards Championship was inaugurated at MA Stadium, here today, by Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul.
On her arrival, the chief guest was accorded a warm welcome by Nikhil Kapahi, President, Jammu & Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), along with executive members including Zeeshan Ahmed, Ishan Sharma, Kunal Gupta, Ishuk Chowdhary, Sohail Khalid, Vishal Abrol, Lokesh Sharma, Umar Himayun and KK Khanna. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the presentation of a bouquet and memento to the chief guest.
Nuzhat Gul lauded the efforts of JKBSA in promoting cue sports across the Union Territory and encouraged players to maintain discipline, sportsmanship and competitive spirit. The event was hosted by Organising Secretary Gurjeev Singh. Matches during the championship will be conducted under the supervision of official markers Ravees Ahmed, Rakesh Sharma and Ashok. Players from various districts of Jammu & Kashmir are participating in the Championship, which aims to provide a competitive platform and promote excellence in Snooker and Billiards.
