JAMMU, Jan 27: The J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) is set to host the 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25 on February 9 and 11 at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
The championship will feature competitions across multiple age categories: Sub Junior (8-11 years), Cadet (12-14 years), Junior (15-17 years) and Senior (18+ years). To participate, athletes must have a JKTA Athlete License, JKSC registration, and have competed in their respective District Taekwondo Championships 2024-25. A maximum of two athletes per district will be allowed in each category.
Eligibility requirements include specific belt levels for each age group, with Sub-Junior participants required to hold a JKTA Green Belt, Cadet athletes a Green 1 Belt, and Junior and Senior athletes holding a Kukki won 1st Dan or higher.
Registration will close on February 9 at 8:00 pm, with the weigh-in set for the same day at 3:00 PM. Athletes must submit various documents, including registration forms, Aadhaar card, and district championship certificates.
