JAMMU, Jan 24: The 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25 will take place on February 4 and 5, 2025, at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. This prestigious event is part of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative and is being conducted under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and the J&K Sports Council (JKSC).
The championships will feature various categories, including Sub Junior Boys and Girls (8-11 years), Cadet Boys and Girls (12-14 years), Junior Boys and Girls (15-17 years) and Senior Men and Women (above 17 years). To participate, athletes must have competed in their respective District Taekwondo Championships 2024-25, and only two athletes from each district are eligible per category.
Participants must also have the necessary Taekwondo licenses: JKTA Green Belt or above for Sub-Junior, JKTA Green 1 Belt or above for Cadet, Kukki won 1st Dan or above for Junior and Senior categories. The last date for online registration is January 30, 2025, before 10:00 PM. Registration will close on February 3rd, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Mandatory documents for registration include completed forms, Aadhaar card, Date of Birth Certificate, Belt Certificate and JKTA License.
