JAMMU, Dec 21: The two-day 23rd J&K Union Territory Athletics Championship-2025 concluded at Synthetic Athletics Track, University of Jammu, here today organized under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of India and the J&K Sports Council, in collaboration with the University of Jammu and the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K. About 900 athletes from across the Union Territory participated in Under-14, Under-16, Under-18, Under-20 and Open categories for boys and girls, including Open Men and Women.
The closing ceremony was graced by Sat Sharma, President BJP J&K and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), as chief guest, along with Rajiv Sharma, President, Tenni Koit Federation of India; Kuldeep Handoo, Dronacharya Awardee & DySP J&K Police; and Rekha Mahajan, Vice President BJP Jammu, who distributed medals and certificates to winners.
Sunil Mahajan, President J&K Athletics Association, welcomed the guests. Sharat Chander Singh, General Secretary, thanked the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K Sports Council, University of Jammu, J&K Police, media, senior members Ravinder Singh, Ajay Sharma, Vinod Bhatia, Rajesh Kumar, and technical officials Nirmal Singh, Pawandeep Kaur, Gurcharan Singh, Sarabjeet Singh, Rakesh Charak, Harsimran Singh and Harvinder Singh for their support.
