JAMMU, Dec 19: The 16th State Speedball Championship 2025 was declared open today by Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP PCR Jammu, at Sukh Sagar Bhawan, organized by the J&K Speedball Association (JKSBA). The three-day championship witnessed participation from over 300 students representing different schools from Jammu region.
The event was graced by Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP PCR Jammu as chief guest, Sharat Chandan Singh, DSP PCR Jammu as guest of honour and Dr Neeraj Sharma, Registrar Jammu University as special guest. Founder Patron, Pooja Malhotra, welcomed the dignitaries, while Munish Gupta, Vice President JKSBA, motivated the participants.
In the championship, Humanity Public School, Samba won the Big Category Trophy, followed by Jammu Sanskriti School (1st runner-up), Dogra Higher Secondary School (2nd runner-up) and RM Public School Jammu (3rd runner-up). Chief guest distributed medals and trophies, emphasizing the importance of sports in life. Matches were officiated by a team of qualified referees, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vanshika Manhas.
