SRINAGAR, Dec 29: The 15th District Srinagar Taekwondo Championship began with enthusiasm at Gindun Stadium, Rajbagh, here today. Organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Srinagar under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council and J&K Taekwondo Association, the event has drawn over 100 players from across the district.
The Championship aims to provide a competitive platform for young and emerging athletes. Medal winners will represent District Srinagar in the upcoming 28th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2025–26. The event is chaired by Association President Nissar Hussain, with Organizing Secretary Suhail Ahmed Khan supervising proceedings. National referees Hashim Majeed and Zain Nazir, along with State Referee Aqib Muzaffar, are officiating. Gindun Stadium Manager Dilbagh Singh attended as chief guest, while Kabra Altaf was guest of honour.
