KARGIL, Dec 16: Social Welfare Society-Salapi commenced a 15 day long Ice-skating coaching for children at Zanskar, here today.
BDO Zanskar, Tsewang Rigzen was chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the BDO expressed his gratitude to the people of Salapi village for completing the construction of the Ice Hockey Rink under MGNREGA in a short period.
President of Social Welfare Society Salapi said around 50 basic learners of Ice-skating will be trained during the sport camp.
The locals as well as Sarpanch and Panches of the area have expressed their gratitude to the Rural Development Department for completing the construction of the Ice Hockey Rink and said that their children will get a chance to take part in training and participate in sports activities during the winter months.
