JAMMU, Oct 7: As many as 15 contestants were today selected for the final round of ongoing ‘Talent Hunt Contest’ being organised by Katoch Productions in singing, modeling, dancing and acting categories here.
A total of 65 contestants, who were selected from Kathua, Udhampur, Jammu and Samba districts, tried their luck in the semi final round to get entry into finals which is likely to be held in the first week of November.
Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla was the chief guest in the semi final round held at community hall Nai Basti. The jury comprised Sona Dogra, Janu Katoch Jandrahia, Sunil Sharma and Siccu.
Janu Katoch Jandrahia, the organizer of Talent Hunt Contest, said they conducted auditions in four districts of Jammu province and a total of 65 selected contestants took part in the semi-final round in different categories.
“The final of this talent hunt contest will be held in the first week of November. The prime objective of holding talent hunt contest is to explore the hidden talent of budding artists in Jammu province,” Katoch said.
He said the winners would be given the chance to work in a Hindi movie being produced by Katoch Productions besides cash prizes.
In his address, Bhalla appreciated the efforts of Katoch Productions in exploring the talent of budding artists of Jammu region and said it would pave a long way for promotion of the region’s rich art and cultural heritage.
