JAMMU, Mar 8: The 11th J&K UT Men and Women Bench Press Championship (Unequipped), 2026 was successfully organized by the Powerlifting Association of J&K under the banner of the Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF) at Cuts & Curves Fitness Club, Upper Roop Nagar, Jammu.
In the men’s category, the gold medallists included Krishna Salotra, Kartik Sharma, Krishna Sharma, Vishushant, Naman Kerni, Brijesh, Dhruv Dhir, Nitish Verma, Mantoo Gupta, Suresh Sharma, Himanshu, Neeraj Kumar and Gurdayal Singh (2 golds). The silver medalists were Piyush Bhagat and Suraj Parihar, while the bronze medal went to Jaskirat Singh.
In the women’s category, the gold medallists were Jyoti, Rupali Salathia, Sarita Bakshi and Vaishali Nayyar, who delivered outstanding lifts in their respective weight classes.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rakesh Kumar, Commonwealth medalist and Sher-I-Kashmir Sports Awardee, who also served as the chief guest and General Secretary of the Powerlifting Association of J&K, appreciating the athletes’ dedication and performances.
