JAMMU, Dec 28: The 10th J&K (UT) Powerlifting and Deadlift Championship (2025-26) concluded at the Indoor Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, here today, with outstanding displays of strength and skill.
In the Sub-Junior Men category, gold went to Karan Singh, Radhyawar, Vishushant, Rohin Sabarwal and Aaryan Pandoh; silver to Jaskirat Singh, Aneesh Verma and Krishav Sharma and bronze to Krishna and Daksh Gabgotra.
In Junior Men, Paras Heera, Kartik Singh, Shivyansh Gupta, Rudra Gupta and Dhairya Jamwal claimed gold, with silver for Anwar, Nitish Verma, Brijesh Rajput and Vansh and bronze for Keshav Khajuria.
Senior Men saw gold for Mantu Gupta, Aditya Singh, Varundeep Sharma and Rohit Hundal; silver for Som Raj and bronze for Vishal. In the Master’s category, gold went to Kulbhushan Pandita, Vijay Singh, Vijay Kumar and Gurdyal Singh, and silver to Mehul Dubey. Women’s gold medallists were Nandini, Janvi Gupta, Neha, Meenakshi, Rupali, Apoorva Amla and Shivani Sharma.
The closing ceremony was graced by Vinakshi Koul, Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports, who praised the athletes and organizers. Rakesh Kumar, General Secretary of the Powerlifting Association, extended thanks to participants, officials and supporters, marking the championship a resounding success.
