JAMMU, Oct 18: Calling upon youth of Jammu region to stand united and shoulder their responsibility in upholding Dogra ethos, Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal today said that it was high time to mobilize masses to take the on-going battle against drug menace to a logical conclusion.
While inaugurating Viva Fitness Club, Lower Roop Nagar here today, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said, “The time has come for the youth of Jammu region to lead from the front and come up to the expectations of the people. It is now the youth that have to step forward and take their fight against social evil.”
“Jammu is standing on a crossroads. On one side, it is facing through a very crucial juncture as forces inimical to brotherhood and communal harmony are hell bent to set this region on the fire for their petty political gains, while on the other side, drug mafia is trapping the youth to fall in their trap through drug abuse,” he pointed out.
Congratulating Team Jammu’s volunteer, Vishal Mahajan (Vishu) for opening the Club for the youth, Zorawar said, “It is the most appreciable part that our well educated unemployed youth are making themselves self-employed, that too by such means where the youth including students get a chance to remain physically fit and healthy.”
Urging the youth to stay away from drug abuse and play an important role in Nation building and remain engaged in all sort of sports activities, he said and appealed to the Government to raise more infra-structure like open and indoor Stadiums and promote sports activities in each and every district of the UT so that our young generation remains healthy and physically fit.
Samba Comedy Star Kala Ram, Rajat Manhas, Happy Jamwal, Surinder Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Sunil Mahajan and many other volunteers of Team Jammu were present on the occasion.
