Zone Akhnoor, Satwari, Jammu clinch titles

JAMMU, Aug 31: Inter-Zonal District Level competitions in Basketball, Football and Kho-Kho were conducted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, with around 350 students from various zones of District Jammu participating with enthusiasm.

The Basketball U-17 and U-19 girls competitions concluded at MA Stadium, Jammu, while the U-17 boys Football competition concluded at Khel Gaon, Nagrota. The Kho-Kho girls competition for U-14, U-17 and U-19 age groups commenced at Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar.

In Basketball U-17 girls, Zone Satwari defeated Zone Jammu by 21-8 in the final, while in the U-19 girls category, Zone Jammu beat Zone Satwari by 25-11 to claim the title. In U-17 boys Football, Zone Akhnoor defeated Zone Jammu by 1-0 in the final after overcoming Zone Marh by 5-4 via tie-breaker in the semifinal.

In Kho-Kho U-14, Zone RS Pura, Zone Bishnah and Zone Dansal registered wins in their respective matches. In U-17, Zone RS Pura, Zone Jourian and Zone Dansal emerged victorious, while in U-19, Zone Jourian, Zone Gandhi Nagar and Zone Khour won their respective matches.
