JAMMU, Nov 18: State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, today ordered posting of Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Director Information as Secretary, Department of Tourism and Culture and promotion of two officers to the Super Time Scale.
Zaffar Ahmad Bhat has been posted as Secretary, Department of Tourism in place of Atal Dulloo, who is proceeding on Central deputation. Mr Bhat, however, will take over the charge of Tourism Department only after Mr Dulloo is formally relieved for undertaking his new assignment.
Mr Bhat will continue to hold the charge of the post of Director, Information in addition to his own duties till further orders.
In another decision, the Cabinet gave sanction to the promotion of Mohammad Ishaq Wani, Director Budget, Finance Department and Altaf Hussain Mirza, Director Accounts and Treasuries, Kashmir to the Super Time Scale.
The Cabinet also approved the proposal for setting up of common sewerage treatment plants for the waste water generated by the hotel industry.
The proposal in the first instance will be implemented in the cities of Jammu and Sirnagar, subject to the payment of maintenance charges/fee as shall be prescribed by the competent authority in this behalf.
