LONDON: Experienced batsman Yuvraj Singh didn’t appeared at Team India’s training session at Lord’s after reportedly being down with fever.
The Virat Kohli-led side, who will be taking on New Zealand in their first practise game tomorrow, sweated out in a two-hour long training session at the historic Lords cricket ground but it was only the sixer-king, who was missing from the team.
According to reports, 35-year-old Yuvraj is down with fever and that was the reason behind his absence from the training session. The reports further said that the team management is expecting the all-rounder to recover in a day.
Notably, the men in blue India will take on the Black Caps in a warm-up game tomorrow’s before squaring off against Bangladesh on Tuesday. India will then kick-off their Champions Trophy campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at Edgbaston on June 4. (AGENCIES)
