Youth nabbed for duping woman of Rs 40,000 at bank

RAJOURI, Feb 29: A youth was nabbed by people and bank security guard and handed over to police when he tried to snatch Rs 40,000 from a village woman at J&K Bank branch in Rajouri town today.
Reports said that one Razia Begum (45), wife of Mohd Shabir, resident of village Tuli Prath near Rajouri went to J&K Bank branch near Tehsil Complex Rajouri to deposit Rs 40,000 cash during mid day. The woman asked a youth,  in the bank to fill the form for her.  He was also bank customer there. The youth turned greedy and tried to snatch the money cleverly from the woman. He filled up the form and asked the woman to wait at the bench there and took the money from her telling that he will deposit  cash in the bank and give her receipt.
Finding  time the youth tried to escape with money. The woman was watching him and raised alarm. The security guard and others got alerted. They chased and over powered the youth near the bank.  They called police and handed him over to them. . The money was snatched from him. He was later identified Mohd Zubair, son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Bathian in Thannamandi. The police registered a case against him.
