JAMMU, Dec 23: A youth was killed and two another critically injured, when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a tipper at Kaluchak area of the winter capital.
Police spokesman said that, three youths namely Sunil, son of Madan Lal and Rakesh Kumar, son of Kasturi Lal, both residents of Ratnuchak and Rakesh Kumar, son of Chaman Lal of Tarore, were critically injured, when the motorcycle (JK02AW-2480) they were riding on was hit by a tipper (JKO2AS 2048) at Kaluchak, falling under the jurisdiction of Greater Kailash Police Post.
The trio was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Sunil as brought dead, while the condition of two others were stated to be critical, when last reports came in.
The driver of the tipper identified as Ramesh Pradhan, son of Nera Pradhan of Trikuta Nagar was arrested, while a case has been registered at Greater Kailash Police Post and investigation started.
