YAIKS organises Akh-te-Akh Gaye Kah

JAMMU, Nov 18: Akh -te-Akh Gaye Kah (One and one are eleven) -a day long event was organized by Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) here, today under the leadership of its president, R K Bhat.
The theme of the programme was to float a message of brotherhood and love among KP community and save the future of next generation of the community. The programme started with Saraswati Vandna. Padamshri Dr K N Pandita was the chief guest on the occasion while Prof. A N Sadhu,Swami Kumar Ji, B L Saraf a retired Session and District Judge , P L Koul Badgami, Murar Ji Koul, Pran Pandita and Kuldeep Pandita were guests of honour.
Prominent singers, Dr Deepali Wattal and Ravi Bhan were honoured in the function with Gash Taruk Award while some talented young singers made the audience spell bound by their melodious voices. A large number of community members drawn from different areas of Jammu attended the function.
In his key note address R K Bhat, president, YAIKS said that the brotherhood and love is the only solution and the way as how to overcome the present situation being faced by the community for last three decades now. He said the young generation of the community has to play a vital role in connecting it to its lost roots and retain the existence of their motherland.
Bhat said the YAIKS is committed to get the PM’s employment package implemented in letter and spirit. We believe in survival first in terms of employment which is the biggest source of sustenance for which we have to come together and fight for justice”, he added.
In their address K N Pandita, Prof A N Sadhu and Paran Pandit appealed the community to come forward and support young leadership to carry forward the community struggle at large. They further said that “we have enough talent in the community youth but they need to be strengthening and to educate the history and traditions of the community by the seniors”.
The welcome address was presented by advisor, YAIKS, Bushan Lal Dhar and vote of thanks was proposed by Manoj Handoo its general secretary and the programme was conducted by P K Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo secretaries of the organization.
Ramesh Marhatta, P N Shad, P L Hatash, Ravinder Kumar, Comrade Mohan Lal, T N Koul, Munu Ji Razdan and Rakesh Fotedar were also present on the occasion.
