YLA demands package 10 times greater than earlier

JAMMU, Aug 16: Young Lawyers Association (YLA) of J&K High Court has urged upon the J&K Lieutenant Governor (LG) to review and revise the policy pertaining to the welfare of lawyers as lawyers fraternity is badly affected due to lockdown triggered by Coronavirus pandemic.
In a handout Association president, Nitin Bakshi stated that courts are closed from the last five months and there is no regular work at the courts which has made the life of several people a hell and lawyers are one of them.
After a virtual meeting of office bearers of the Association wherein Sarvesh Kotwal, Vice President of Association; Upasana Thakur, General Secretary; Suraj Slathia, Joint Secretary and Amzi Arthur John, Cashier attended, Bakshi urged upon the Lt. Governor to release another package of around ten times greater in value than earlier one issued by the former LG as the earlier package was not sufficient according to the number of young lawyers in entire UT of J&K.
Association president also appealed to the LG that proposal of e-stamping which is to be launched should be friendly to the stamp vendors and they should be issued e-licenses to sell such stamps.
