YCET Jammu concludes week-long induction programme

JAMMU, Aug 29: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu, concluded its week-long induction programme for newly admitted students with a valedictory function at the College Seminar Hall.

The programme aimed to familiarise students with the academic environment, institutional facilities, professional opportunities, industry expectations, entrepreneurship, innovation, emerging technologies and personality development.

The induction commenced on August 24 with lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address by Dr Sanjeev Singh, Director, YCET. Students were introduced to the college's academic environment, facilities, institutional vision, Heads of Departments and faculty. Sessions on Virtual Labs by IIT Delhi, Spoken Tutorial Courses by IIT Bombay and holistic well-being by Art of Living were also held.

On August 25, sessions covered healthy mind and soul, entrepreneurship, industry expectations and UDYAM JAGRITI 5.0. On August 27, students attended sessions on campus-to-corporate transition, the academic scheme and university examinations, the role of engineers in nation building, stress and time management, and entrepreneurship.

The concluding day featured sessions on innovation and new technologies by Loveneesh Talwar, HOD, Electrical Engineering, and AI Tools by Anupreet, HOD, CSE. A special "Display Your Talent" activity provided students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and abilities. Prizes were distributed to winners by Dr Sanjeev Singh, Dinesh Gupta and Heads of Departments.

The management, including Chairman Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal and Managing Director Renu Bangroo, appreciated all speakers, faculty, coordinators, staff and students for the programme's successful conduct.
