JAMMU, May 18: The Government today attached Executive Engineer PHE City Division –I, Jammu and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Sitlee Sub Division, pending inquiry against them.
Official sources said that Nagrota police seized 200 bags of cement on Tuesday which had been pilferaged from Sitlee Store of the PHE department. Taking serious note of the issue, Minister for PHE I&FC Sham Choudhary, today directed Chief Engineer to attach Executive Engineer PHE City Div-I Rajinder Kumar Sharma and I/C AEE Sitlee PHE Sub Division Sunil Seth, with the office of Chief Engineer PHE Department, Jammu.
Varinder Kumar Khajuria, Executive Engineer PHE City Division-II has been given the additional charge of City Division-I and Anil Sharma, I/C AEE PHE Sub Div Bakshi Nagar will hold the charge of Sitlee Sub Division till further orders. The police has already registered a case FIR No. 11/ 2016 in this connection. Two persons have been arrested so far in this connection.
Meanwhile, Government framed a Committee headed by SE Hyd Circle Jammu, Rajinder Kumar Gupta to hold detailed inquiry into the matter and submit report within 15 days. K K Badyal I/C Executive Engineer, Technical Officer of Chief Engineer RTIC, Jammu is the inquiry committee member.
