JAMMU, Mar 30: Urging people to exercise their right to franchise in favour of Party candidate Yash Pal Sharma, People’s Democratic party (PDP) leader and co-ordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that the incumbent Government because of its wrong policies, has already plunged the State into a debt trap and only PDP can bring it back on rails of economic prosperity.
The incumbent Government, Choudhary said had created huge liabilities forcing Planning Commission to either block grants or issue warnings to it. Despite reprimanding from the Centre, State Government continued to increase liabilities which have now reached a whooping amount of about Rs 40,000 crore this financial year.
Inability of State Government to return loans and creation of excessive liabilities has not only plunged the State into a debt trap but also weakened its economic position, he alleged, adding that time has come to return PDP to power to save the State from going bankrupt.
He sought votes for party candidate Yash Pal Sharma and promised that PDP will make the nation hear voice of people of Poonch and Rajouri in the Parliament in a vibrant manner.
