Mount Litera Zee School celebrates 2nd Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 2: National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today stressed on the overwhelming need for enhanced opportunities to women in different spheres of activities, saying this will largely lead to harmonious growth of society.
“There has been significant headway in this regard in recent decades yet more is required to be done, especially in rural and semi urban areas”, Rana said while addressing at a function to celebrate the second annual day of Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore. The theme of the event was ‘Women Empowerment’.
He also called for focused attention on the needs of girls and women in terms of education, health care and career advancement. He said political empowerment and economic emancipation is equally important for their overall growth. He expressed happiness over growing involvement of women in decision making and said this process has to be redoubled to end gender bias, as also to ensure their participation in societal development in a big way.
Lauding the role of the management of the school in overall development of students, Rana, who was the chief guest at the function, said this odyssey is needed to be carried forward with renewed vigour. He said the school has to play an important role in shaping the destiny of children.
On the occasion, Randeep Kumar, JKPS SSP, CID, Jammu was the presiding guest.
The event began with lamp lighting ceremony followed by an orchestra performance dedicated to ‘mothers’.

Ritesh Kapoor, Director MLZS presented the welcome address and said innovation in ideology is must for the proper nourishment and development of the institution.
The award for the best Mount Literan for the session 2018-2019 was shared by Aporvi Gupta of class VIII and by Vanshaj Sharma of class VII.
Jaswinder Kour, RSD Zee Learn appreciated the wonderful presentations made by the students.
