REASI, Dec 20: A young woman along with her minor son drowned while crossing a nullah in Chasana, here today.
The deceased woman was identified as Parveen Akhtar (20), wife of Mohd Munshi, resident of Chandyal Kot. She was crossing Chini Nullah at Sangli Kot while carrying her five-month old son when the mishap took place, Police said.
Even as body of the woman was fished out after some time, the operation to locate the body of minor was still going on till last reports came in.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist sustained critical injuries when his bike was hit by a minibus at Geeta Nagar in Reasi. The injured, identified as Prabhu Dayal, son of Sobha Ram of Gran Morh, Reasi, has been shifted to District Hospital Reasi.
