UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Police today arrested a woman for killing her husband with the help of her paramour in Sarnadi, Lander area of block Pancheri.
Police spokesman said that, on October 1, Pancheri police received an information regarding recovery of body of one Mohd Rafi, son of Abdul Gani of Sarandi Lander, block Pancheri.
Police party from Pancheri Police Station rushed to the spot, shifted the body to hospital and started inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPc, which was later converted into murder case and an FIR number 50/12 under Section 302 RPC was registered at Police Station Pancheri and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police came to know that wife of the deceased namely Jamila Bibi alias Kali, had developed illicit relation with Salim Mohd, son of Fareed Mohd of Dubbi Gali, Bamagh, Reasi, which her husband had objected to several times, spokesman added.
He said that the woman along with her paramour hatched conspiracy to kill her husband and accordingly on September 29, Salim Mohd took Mohd Rafi to an abandoned place in Door Nallah, Lander and killed him. After that, Salim Mohd threw the body of Mohd Rafi in Door Nallah and fled away, he added.
During interrogation woman broke down and accepted the crime and revealed that she along with her paramour had killed Mohd Rafi, who was creating hurdles in their illicit relation, spokesman said, adding, the duo were arrested.
