RAMBAN, Aug 3: Four persons including a lady were killed in accidents, here today.
As per police sources, a truck bearing registration number JK05E-6580 carrying fruits was on its way to New Delhi from Kashmir, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into deep gorge near Battery Chashma area, resulting into on the spot death of three persons.
On getting information, a police team along with volunteers of the QRT, ROP of CRPF and locals retrieved the dead bodies from the gorge and shifted them to District Hospital Ramban.

The deceased have been identified as Rayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, Abdul Hamid, son of Abdul Gani and Manzoor Ahmed, son of Suleman, all residents of Srinagar.
Meanwhile, a lady pedestrian was knocked to death by a tempo traveler near bus stand here.
The deceased has been identified as Khatija Begum, wife of late Mohammad Ismail, a resident of Deda Gool, district Ramban.
After conducting autopsy, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The driver of the tempo traveler identified as Mohammad Muzamil, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Champa Batote, District Ramban has been arrested.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
