Woman among 3 die of COVID in J&K, 165 test +ve

13 new cases in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Nov 10: Three persons died of COVID-19 and 165 tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir while 13 new cases were reported in the Union Territory of Ladakh today.
Two COVID fatalities and 147 cases were registered in Kashmir division while one death and 18 positives were recorded in Jammu region.
A 60-year-old woman hailing from Gujral Camp Mohalla in Jammu died of co-morbidities and Coronavirus at her house. She was under home isolation, the doctors said.
The death has taken Corona toll in Jammu division to 2178 and in Jammu district to 1147.
Fatalities in other districts include 237 in Rajouri, 152 Kathua, 137 Udhampur, 133 Doda, 120 Samba, 98 Poonch, 67 Ramban, 44 Kishtwar and 43 in Reasi district.
Among 18 cases in the region, nine came from Jammu district, three Poonch, two each in Rajouri and Doda and one each in Samba and Reasi districts. Four other districts didn’t report any fresh cases today.
Twenty persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,24,498 Corona cases. Among them, 1,22,165 have recovered from the virus while there have been 2178 casualties and 155 active positive cases.
All 13 COVID positive cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 125 active positive cases including 122 in Leh and three in Kargil district.
Corona count in Ladakh has reached 21072. Out of them, 20738 have been treated while there were 209 casualties—151 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, there has been a spike in the COVID-19 cases in Kashmir with 147 persons testing positive today.
With two fresh deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,448.
Those who tested positive include 68 from Srinagar, 30 from Baramulla, 17 from Budgam, 1 from Pulwama, 7 from Kupwara, 9 from Bandipora and 15 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 208,992 including 205,647 recoveries and 2,270 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,230 including 1,075 from Kashmir division.
With 131 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 327,812 which is 98.30 percent of the total cases.
