JAMMU, Aug 10: Arya Samaj Kotli Colony, Rehari Colony started today a week long programme of Ved Parchar to celebrate Sharavan Parv Raksha Bandana and Sri-Krishna Janamashtami, which will conclude on August 17, 2014.
Acharya Vidyabhanu Shastriji will be brahma of yagna and assisted by Chain Lal Shastri. Yagna will be performed with the sermons from Yajurved between 6.30 am to 9.30 am in the morning and 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm in the evening. Renowned philosopher of Vedas Dr Dervrat Saraswatiji from Delhi will deliver Parvachan and Kuldeep Vidyarthi will perform bhajans.
The programme started with Parbhat Phari on August 9 and today hawan, bhajans and parvachan was held.
Swami ji disclosed how the teaching of Vedas are useful to the human beings.
The programme will conclude on August 17, 2014 with puranhuti and celebration of Sri-Krishna Janamashtami followed by langer.
