JAMMU, Aug 31: A week-long handball sports event organised at SD Sabha School concluded with an exhibition match, providing young players an opportunity to showcase their talent.
The event was organised by Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust and Arun Sharma Handball Academy in collaboration with Kreeda Bharati.
Sanjeev Verma, Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, while Parshotam Dadhichi, President, Sanatan Dharm Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir, was the guest of honour.
The highlight of the concluding day was an exhibition match between Arun Sharma Handball Club and Jammu Handball Club. In a closely contested encounter, Arun Sharma Handball Club emerged victorious by a one-goal margin.
The chief guest appreciated the organisers for promoting handball and lauded the players for their enthusiasm and sporting spirit. Among those present were DySP Akshay Khajuria, Rahul, and senior handball players, including international player Renu Rattan, Sonia Jain, Vinay and Arti Thakur. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ashutosh Sharma, Trustee, Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust.
