JAMMU, Oct 9: The weavers and artisans from various districts of Jammu today alleged that their claims have not been settled so far by the authorities and they are facing economic hardships.
At a meeting here which was chaired by Balkrishan, convener, BJP Weavers and Artisans Cell said that their workplaces were destroyed by recent incessant rains and they are not in a position to built the new places. The meeting said if Government is going to provide the relief to flood victims it should also settle the pending claims of weavers which are over due for a long time.
The meeting was attended by Baldev Singh, Satpal, Ramesh Chander Verma, Balbir Singh, Sansarchand, Sujanshing, Nehabakshi, Bhawani Thakur, Lekh Raj, Ashok Kumar and others.
