POONCH, July 8: Brilliant 7-wicket haul by Waheed today guided YCC to a big win by 130 runs over Malik Club Seri in the ongoing District Poonch Cricket Tournament being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Sports Stadium, here today.
Earlier, batting first, YCC set a target of 254 runs for nine wickets in allotted 40 overs. Zahid, Ravi and Amit scored 57, 55 and 52 runs respectively. From Malik club, Farooq and Mukhtiar claimed three wickets each.
In reply, Malik Club lost all their wickets for 123 runs in 20.5 overs with Ajaz being top scorer contributing 32 runs to the total. Waheed was the pick of the bowlers from YCC, who claimed seven wickets by conceding 50 runs, to restrict opponent to a small total.
He was adjudged as the man of match for his magnificent bowling display.
The match officiated by Rajinder Singh Toofan and Sanjay Misri as umpires while Amandeep Sharma maintained the scorebook.
