JAMMU, Sept 6: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association today stressed upon the Government and higher authorities of SRTC to clear all their pending dues including installments of Cost of Living Allowance (COLA)
The demand was raised during a meeting of the association held here today under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali, president, VRS Union of J&K SRTC.
The meeting unanimously criticized the attitude of higher authorities of SRTC for not releasing their two due drawn 63 installments of COLA, which are due since June 2016.
The speakers said that whenever we approached for our pending dues to the concerned authorities, we were returned citing disturbance in the Valley. They said that they are unable to understand that why they have been harassed on the plea of disturbance in the Valley when there is peaceful atmosphere in Jammu.
The meeting decided to organize mass demonstration and sit-in protest at Exhibition Ground, Jammu on September 12 if their dues were not cleared till September 10.
